Spring Draw with Sporting Theme
Created: Thu 30th Mar 06 at 11:50:57
The tickets for the Spring Draw have now been sent home. Please try to sell as many tickets as you can. All proceeds will go towards the new sports pitch. Our main prize is a framed England Football shirt signed by Alan Shearer at Euro 96, 2 tickets for one of the autumn internationals at Twickenham, signed shirts from Bradford Bulls, Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Town, a copy of Wisden signed by Michael Vaughan, a signed copy of his Ashes book, a signed copy of Martin Johnson’s autobiography, and a DVD player + the official 3 disc DVD set of the Ashes series. Other prizes include vouchers for Wakefield Superbowl, tickets for Dewsbury Rams and Huddersfield Giants and day passes for the JJB Fitness Club at Birstall.

If everyone sells just the minimum of 2 books each we will raise more than £3500. We would obviously like to raise more than this. If you think you can sell more, please collect extra books of tickets from Mr Wilson’s office.

Please return money and counterfoils as soon as possible to the Business Office no later than Monday 8 May 2006. The draw will take place in school on Wednesday 10 May 2006 and results will be published on the website. The family that sells most tickets in each year group will be given squares on the website and will appear on the permanent roll of honour in the sports hall when the new pitch is built.

Please go to our website for an update on the fundraising.
Buy a Square appeal – why gift aid?
Created: Wed 22nd Mar 06 at 15:23:55

We have sold a number of squares already, but need to sell a lot more if we are to reach our target and finance the new sports pitch in the summer. In order to buy a square please send a cheque to Heckmondwike Grammar School Centenary Fund and write the name of the person for whom the square is bought on the back of the cheque. If the person paying for the square is a UK taxpayer, please also send in a completed gift aid form – ( see the fundraising page) - this will enable us to claim an extra 28% of the value of the donation from the Inland Revenue.
