Fundraising for the new sports pitch.
Created: Thu 27th Apr 06 at 13:30:24
The non-uniform day at the end of last term generated £702 towards our appeal and the Easter Egg Draw organised by the School Council a further £500. A big thank you to all who contributed and to all of you who are working hard to help us reach our target.   Our textiles container was emptied before the holidays and we were sent a cheque for £40. This brings the total raised from the re-cycling to £90. Please continue to bring in unwanted clothing and bedding to the bank in the junior yard. Special thanks go to HSBC Insurance Brokers, who have given us £250 towards our appeal fund, and to the 4 members of staff who raised £52 in the rain at a car boot sale on Easter Monday! All this has helped boost our appeal fund to £32 344. We now need to sell as many raffle tickets as we can – please sell your books and if possible ask for more. Our target is at least £3000 from the raffle – and we only have 2 weeks left to sell all the tickets.

Generous Support From Grace Landscapes for Redgra Appeal and for our Tree Planting Scheme.
Created: Wed 5th Apr 06 at 10:26:23

Grace Landscapes and students supporting our tree planting schemeToday we were delighted to receive a very generous donation to the Appeal Fund from Mr Tim Grace of Grace Landscapes, the company that looks after the school’s grounds and sports pitches. On behalf of staff, governors and pupils we would like to thank him very much indeed for his support. The company is already working with us on our tree planting scheme at Cawley and recently helped a group of Sixth Form students – Isobelle Logan, Preetha Biyani, Simon Rout and Catherine Hoodless – as they battled the elements to plant 30 native species trees on a piece of spare ground between the pitches.  Grace Landscapes prepared the ground and provided the expertise as well as the tree protectors free of charge.  A big thank you to all involved.
